SoCs and Complex Mixed-Signal ASICs
Development and production of true SoCs and complex mixed-signal ASICs requires an ASIC company with wide system knowledge, vast range of design expertise, an extensive design automation toolset, advanced semiconductor processes and packaging options, and ability to perform production testing at high volumes with a high level of quality. Few companies have all of this under one roof but we do at Linear MicroSystems.
Our SoCFlexTM platform architecture makes use a vast library of intellectual property and standard cells to craft very complex designs quickly. Our design automation tool suite includes schematic capture, transistor level simulation, RF simulation, digital simulation, mixed-signal simulation, analog behavioral level modeling and simulation, timing analysis, synthesis, place and route, parasitic extraction, full custom physical layout, and layout verification. These tools enable to us to completely analyze the performance of a full SoC and very complex mixed-signal ASICs.
We are able to combine large amounts of complex analog, digital, microprocessors, memory, and interfaces into one ASIC wth SoCFlexTM.
Analog and RF ASICs
We also specialize in high performance analog and RF ASICs. Typically, these ASICs are not as complex as true SoCs but often involve very demanding analog and RF performance including high speed, high accuracy, low offsets, signal recovery, low distortion, low power, and low noise.
Digital ASICs
Many of our customers have a digital ASICs in their system and service this need quite well. Our digital suite of design automation tools permit the develop of complex and high speed digital ASICs with the ability to integrate a wide variety of IP, whether sourced internally or externally.
